Autumn Artists

I am working with a group of 6-7 year olds on a mixed media project doing some drawing, collage and printmaking around a theme of "Leaves".

We started by wandering around the school collecting leaves with strong prominent veins.

Next we learnt how to do leaf prints with crayons and paint.

I encouraged the students to experiment and be creative.

These negative images with black crayon and watercolour were particularly effective.
