Collage Leaves

Today we studied the art of Pat Pauly who creates large collages using fabric.
We liked her style of layering colour and texture and the fact that her work often showed leaves.

Each child create a background layer trying to have one main colour theme.  We used magazine pages.

Next we talked about composition and where our leaf or leaves would sit on our page. We created leaves using a contrasting colour and added in veins using coloured card or ribbon and trims.
